Iceland Walking on Mars, Iceland [drone]

The Kerlingarfjoll area is one of the most incredible in the Icelandic Highlands after a long drive (which is doable with a 4x4 car without expert knowledge and no river crossings). Park your car at the marked parking area and go for a hike in the area. Make sure not to leave the trails due to geothermal activities.

Use your drone to get a different perspective of this location. You can walk around, but some angles are not easy to get with a regular camera. The visibility can change quickly, which makes it hard to fly the drone. Also, the wind can pick up fast! I walked in the frame to add a sense of scale to the image.

You need a 4x4 car to get to this location since you must drive several dozen kilometers on a gravel road (F35 and F347) in the Icelandic highlands towards Kerlingarfjoll Hot Springs and park at the 4x4 Parking Geothermal area.
