Iceland Iceland Evergreens
As usual, my wife does the bulk of the driving when we’re on vacation since she doesn’t trust me to keep my eyes on the road while driving in a particularly scenic location, which is a fair assessment. Another positive aspect is it allows me to occasionally spot something special that we hadn’t expected and in Iceland, that can happen about once every minute. In this case, the low hanging clouds over the mountains caught my eye first, then the evergreens (spruce?) scattered among farmed fields.
Photography Tips
There’s also a small stream at this spot which would have enhanced the overall composition but the wind and misty rain made setting up my tripod for a long exposure difficult. For all its beauty, wind and rain was a near constant problem during my two weeks in Iceland in early September. Be prepared to protect your gear.
