Gufufoss, not one of the most famous of the icelandic waterfalls, but I like it for its great foreground.

Like always: ND filter is a must for waterfall photography.

Travel Information

In close distance on the way to Seyðisfjörður,
on the right side of the road. No hiking, so you don´t need proper footwear (but would surely not be a bad idea to bring some anyway)

Loved it as well. Suffered a lot from top-only-waterfalls and restricted areas this Iceland-trip. None of that is true for Gufufoss.

Crazy that this one is nearly unknown (at least I never heard of it before) and it looks really nice, thanks for sharing this spot Thomas!

Yes, isn't it? We bumped into it by accident as well. Good to know that even in such a nearly completely documented location like Iceland there can be found some hidden gems.
