Die Shanti Stupa in Leh steht auf einem steilen Hügel in einer Höhe von ca. 3600m über dem Meeresspiegel.Von dort hat man malerische Ausblicke auf die wunderschöne Umgebung. Mit Blick auf den Leh-Palast überblickt die Stupa die gesamte lebendige und farbenfrohe Stadt Leh. Die Stupa wurde 1991 vom japanischen Buddhisten Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura gebaut und war Teil einer Friedensmission.
