This old abandoned school house has an impressive background with the slopes of Benwiskin. When walking through the remote valley you wonder who would have actually gone to school here.

Photography Tips

A wide lens is needed. Check where the sun will be since once the sun goes behind the mountain, you'll get a very different shot. We were there mid-morning in June after checking an app for sun locations.

Travel Information

Turn off to „Gleniff Horseshoe“ along the road between Sligo and Mullaghmore. You can park the car at the old mill and go on a nice circular walk (roughly 2-2.5 hrs) through the valley.
