If you want to go down to the lough shore, bring wellingtons as it can be very muddy.

Travel Information

From Galway to Clifden along the N59, look for the turn-off to the right, signed R344 (Lough Inagh Valley). About half-way up this road you will see wonderful views of the Maamturk mountains across the lake to your right. There are a few small lay-bys to park up.
