Ireland Inch Beach Lookout, Ireland
Inch Beach, located between Dingle and Castlemaine on the Dingle Peninsula, is one of Ireland’s most famous beaches — a dramatic 5 km sand spit reaching out into Dingle Bay. Surrounded by rolling dunes and distant peaks, it’s a favorite for surfers, walkers, and photographers seeking that quintessential Irish coastal view. The panoramic shot here was taken directly from the parking area, which overlooks the entire beach and gives an incredible sense of scale.
On a clear day, you can see the Iveragh Peninsula across the bay — and when the light breaks through the clouds, the landscape glows with a golden hue that’s simply unforgettable.

Photography Tips
From the parking lot viewpoint, use a telephoto lens (70–200mm) to compress the perspective and emphasize the endless stretch of sand and waves. Early morning or late afternoon light works best for warm tones and long shadows, while moody overcast skies bring out the rugged character of the Kerry coastline. For drone shots, fly slightly inland to capture the full curvature of the bay.
If you’re shooting ground-level compositions, the reflections at low tide create dreamy foregrounds for wide-angle shots.

Travel Information
There’s a large car park directly beside the beach, making access extremely easy. A small café and surf school operate here seasonally, and public restrooms are available. Inch Beach is also one of the few beaches in Ireland where cars are permitted to drive directly onto the sand (check tide times before doing so).
