From here, you can see the beach’s gentle arc stretching toward the distant mountains, with patchwork fields and scattered cottages perched above the cliffs. It’s one of those Wild Atlantic Way moments where the raw power of the ocean contrasts beautifully with Ireland’s calm, pastoral landscape.

The shot was taken near the main Inch Beach car park, slightly elevated from the sand level — offering a panoramic composition that highlights both the shoreline and the backdrop of the Slieve Mish Mountains.

For this viewpoint, a mid-range lens (24–70mm) works perfectly to balance the coastline and the sea. The best light often comes in the late afternoon, when the sun breaks through the Atlantic clouds and bathes the cliffs in golden tones.
If conditions allow, try a long exposure (1–3s) to soften the motion of the waves, or use a polarizing filter to bring out contrast between the greens of the hills and the deep blues of the water.
