Ireland Stone Shortage Not Imminent
- Please to see the geo position & weather for this photo spot
The area around Carna, County Galway, has seen little change in the last century. My grandmother was born there in 1880 and the same stone walls remain unchanged since then. This is a great place to shoot with very few people, on the road and steeped with the old Irish culture and history.

From Galway head west on the N59. At Maam Cross turn south on the R336 and then southwest on the R340. There is almost no traffic and only a few local residents to be seen. There is a hotel, pub, small grocery and restaurant in Carna.
