Italy View of Poggio Covilii, Villa of the Val d'Orcia
This is the third spot where you can take beautiful pictures of the famous Poggio Covili in Val d'Orcia. You can take your pictures from a higher position because you're halfway up the hill.
Photography Tips
Come to this place in spring or fall for the sunrise: Fog is very common in this area in spring and fall. Don't be late, there are often photography workshops at this spot. Bring a moderate tele lens (80mm), a tripod is not mandatory after sunrise.
Travel Information
Just follow the SP323 direction Castiglione d'Orcia. There's a small parking on the left side, just enough for one or two small cars. You can take pictures directly from the parking. If parking is occupied just follow the road - there's another similar parking after a short time on the left side or follow the road further and there are two more parking on the right side of the road - one bigger for more and bigger cars.
