This old ruined abbey is something special. The abbey itself was restored in 1881, but the roof is missing since 1550 and it's still missing today. So you can create interesting photographs from the outside as well as from the inside.

Photography Tips

There are sometimes many people in the building. To make this people there "invisible" on your pictures, you have to use a tripod and a nd-filter (like a big stopper) for a long exposure time. Or you have to do multiple shots and then use the stacking method in Photoshop. It's up to you.

Travel Information

The abbey is located along the SP441, about 33 km (21 mi) southwest of Siena. From the parking lot, its a short walk to the abbey.
