Discover Arenzano: A Charming Ligurian Escape
Arenzano is a delightful coastal town on the Ligurian Riviera, just west of Genoa, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and relaxed Italian charm. It's an ideal spot for tourists looking for a quieter, authentic experience away from the bustling crowds.

In particular for this shot I ventured to the first rocks just after the Arenzano marina.

Before that there is also a fantastic natural arch that can also be photographed quite easily.

Photography Tips

The rocks of Arenzano do not allow easy use of tripods, so for this spot I did not use long exposures or tripod. Everything was done freehand. Different instead for the arch, where it is possible to use the tripod.

For me there are different points of view both before and after the marina, it is all at the discretion of the photographer

Travel Information

Reaching Arenzano by Train: A Tourist Guide
Traveling to Arenzano by train is a straightforward and scenic option, making it very accessible for tourists exploring the Ligurian coast.

Arenzano has its own train station, "Arenzano," located right in the town center, making it incredibly convenient.

From Genoa
If you're starting from Genoa (either from Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole main stations), frequent regional trains run regularly towards Arenzano. The journey is quick, typically taking around 20-30 minutes, offering lovely coastal views along the way.

From Other Italian Cities
From major Italian cities like Milan, Rome, or Florence, you'll first take a high-speed or Intercity train to Genoa (Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole). From there, it's just a short regional train connection to Arenzano.

Train Travel Tips
Tickets: You can easily buy train tickets at station counters, from self-service machines, or online via Trenitalia's website.
Validation: For regional trains, remember to validate your ticket at the green or yellow machines on the platform before boarding. Skipping this step can result in a fine.
Frequency: Regional trains are quite frequent, especially during the day, so you'll have flexibility with your travel times.
Enjoy the beautiful train ride to Arenzano!
