South of the Po delta, several kilometers inland, lies Comácchio. At its founding, it was still at sea. Like Venice, it is built on islands. Picturesque canals crisscross the old center of the city.

Travel Information

To reach Comacchio, drive via the A13 and exit at Ferrara Sud, then follow signs to Comacchio. If using public transport, take a train to Ferrara, Codigoro, Ostellato, or Ravenna, then continue by TPER regional bus (lines 331 or 333). The nearest stop is “Comacchio Dispensario,” just a short walk from the center.
