Italy Bogliasco
The Bogliasco promenade, a short distance from Nervi and Genoa, is a true coastal gem and a must-see. This splendid path continues to extend from Nervi towards the east, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Ligurian Sea.
This point was created on the rocks and you can enjoy unique views especially at sunset. You can easily descend via a ladder and it is easy to position the tripod and equipment.

Photography Tips
The entire walk allows you to manage yourself on different points of view, I recommend using a wide angle, but it is possible to find fantastic spots even with medium or telephoto lenses. What you need to know is that going in the direction of the marina, it is preferable to photograph the sunset, while the opposite direction is made to photograph the sunrises.
Travel Information
Traveling to Bogliasco by train is by far the most convenient and recommended option for foreign visitors. Italy has an excellent rail network, making this charming coastal district easily accessible.
From Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA)
If you're flying into Genoa Airport (GOA), reaching Nervi by train is straightforward:
Airport Shuttle: Take the Volabus or a local AMT bus from outside the airport terminal to one of Genoa's main train stations. The most common choices are Genova Brignole or Genova Sestri Ponente.
Train to Nervi: From either Genova Brignole or Genova Sestri Ponente, hop on a regional train (treno regionale) heading towards La Spezia or Sestri Levante. Genova Nervi has its own station, so you can get off right in the heart of the district. The train ride from Genova Brignole typically takes about 15-20 minutes.
From Other Italian Cities
Nervi is well-connected to major Italian cities by train:
From Milan, Rome, Florence, Turin, etc.: Take a high-speed train (Frecciarossa, Italo) or Intercity train to Genova Brignole or Genova Piazza Principe (Genoa's two main stations). From either of these, simply take a short regional train ride (as described above) to Genova Nervi.
From Neighboring Countries
If you're traveling from France, Switzerland, or Austria, you can take international train services to Genoa's main stations (Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole) and then connect to a regional train for Bogliasco.
Key Tips for Train Travel
Tickets: You can buy train tickets at station counters, self-service machines, or online via Trenitalia (Italy's national railway company) or Italo (a private high-speed operator). For regional trains, make sure to validate your ticket at the green or yellow machines on the platform before boarding to avoid fines.
Station Names: Remember your destination is "Bogliasco."
Frequency: Regional trains along the Ligurian coast are frequent, especially during daylight hours.
