Italy Porto Antico - Genova
This shot was taken from one of the central points of the ancient port of Genoa. I did not use a tripod and it was therefore taken freehand.
The Ancient Port of Genoa offers multiple shooting possibilities with different angles, many in the direction of the Lantern, both at dawn and at dusk.
Some points are truly a special cue and I recommend you take your time to comfortably find your shooting position, you will be truly fascinated by what you can photograph at the port of Genoa, including the Galleon that has long been moored at the old port.

Photography Tips
I suggest using a telephoto lens or even a wide-angle lens, but be careful not to take banal or too modern boats, which are objectively not very scenic.
I always look for the best possible angle and I recommend you do the same, waiting for the right moment to shoot with the right lights.
In winter some sunsets are truly spectacular and I strongly recommend you come at this time of year. February in particular offers unique lights.

Travel Information
It is easy to reach the old port both by train and by public transport, especially buses.
The Porto Antico (Old Port) is a fantastic place to start your exploration, brimming with attractions like the Aquarium, museums, and great food. Here's how to get there:
By Foot
If you're already in the historical city center, the Porto Antico is just a short walk away. Look for signs pointing towards "Acquario" or "Porto Antico." Many of the narrow streets (caruggi) will lead you directly there.
By Metro
The Genoa Metro is a quick and easy way to reach the Porto Antico.
Take the Metro to the San Giorgio stop. This stop exits directly into the Porto Antico area.
By Bus
Several bus lines serve the Porto Antico area.
Look for buses that stop at Caricamento/Porto Antico or Piazza Cavour. These stops are right on the waterfront. You can check local AMT (Genoa Public Transport) maps or use a navigation app for the most current routes from your location.
By Taxi or Ride-Sharing
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout the city. Just tell your driver "Porto Antico" or "Acquario di Genova."
By Car
Driving to the Porto Antico is possible, but parking can be challenging and expensive. There are several paid parking garages in the area, such as the Parcheggio Porto Antico or Parcheggio Acquario. Be aware of ZTL (Limited Traffic Zones) in the city center.
