A building once used to utilize the power of water streams sitting deep in a gorge. It was given up decades ago as the living conditions worsened due to city development. On top of the cliffs surrounding the gorge is another beautiful building, making this spot rather unusual in it's constellation.

Photography Tips

To capture both buildings in one shot you'll need a wide-angled lens of around 24mm full frame equivalent. Lighting conditions provide for some difficulties, as the bottom of the gorge tends to be in the shadows while the sky over Italy is mostly sunny (thankfully :))
