The Church of Carmine al Quartiere in Corleone, located in the Borgognoni District, stands on the site of what was once the entrance hall of the Borgognini barracks.
The barracks were built here in 1607 and housed a garrison of troops during the Spanish rule. The complex was abandoned in 1696 and subsequently entrusted to the Carmelite Fathers of the Reform, who, however, were unable to convert the structure into a convent due to its precarious condition. Only the entrance hall of the barracks, in 1757, became the present-day Church of Carmine al Quartiere.
The façade, with its very simple lines, features a wooden portal surmounted by a circular window.
The interior, decorated with simple stucco work, houses a painting of Our Lady of Mount Carmel by an unknown artist.
