As Europe's largest volcanic lake, Lago di Bolsena offers pristine waters, striking black volcanic sand beaches, and picturesque medieval towns along its shores. The lake is easily accessible by car with plenty of parking available along the promenades of the main lakeside towns. If you want a different perspective, driving up to the elevated viewpoints in the surrounding hills provides breathtaking wide-angle panoramas of the entire volcanic caldera.
