Photography Tips
Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. Aim for golden hour, especially sunset, to get a nice light on the ruins (and no people).
Travel Information
The drive from Palermo to Taormina takes around three hours and covers about 260 kilometres. Leave Palermo on the A19 motorway towards Catania, then join the A18 heading north to Taormina. The route is straightforward and offers views of the Sicilian countryside and coastline along the way. As traffic is limited in Taormina’s historic centre, it is best to park in one of the town’s public car parks and continue on foot
