Italy Cefalu
Cefalù is a picturesque coastal town on Sicily’s north shore, framed by the sea and the towering La Rocca cliff. The historic center, with its tightly packed buildings and the prominent Norman cathedral, sits beautifully between the water and rock, especially striking in warm sunrise or sunset light.
Photography Tips
Check local drone regulations first. You might need to obtain a permit from the local authorities. Early morning is amazing there because there is no one around and the colors are softer. To get a starburst exactly in this position, you need to come in late august in the morning.
Travel Information
To travel from Palermo to Cefalù by car, take the A20 motorway eastbound toward Messina. Continue for about 70 km and exit at Cefalù, then follow the local roads into the town center. Parking is difficult in Cefalu especially during high season, so try to get there early.
