Castel del Monte is a famous old castle near Andria, in Puglia. It was built in the 13th century by Frederick II. The castle has a special octagonal shape with eight towers. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Travel Information

From Andria, take the SS 170 towards Castel del Monte. The castle is about 18–20 km from Andria. Follow the signs for Castel del Monte and park in the parking (GPS pin). You need to pay 5€ for the parking and you can take the shuttle bus to go to the castle (2€), or you can walk.
