OF all the possible photos shots of Sasso Barisano district in Matera, this is one of my favorite spot, with the San Pietro Barisano bell tower as main subject. Sunset (golden hour) is also an interesting shot since sunlight will hit the suburb and the cathedral in the background.

Photography Tips

You can bring a tripod and enventually graduated filters, but if no tripod camera can be put on small low wall. Early morning shot not recommended (light wise).

Travel Information

Head by foot to the San Pietro Barisano belvedere. Car is not recommended.
