Photography Tips
On our second day in the small village of Fujiyoshida, we had clear weather and could see Mount Fuji. After thousands of stairs, we arrived at the top of the Arakura Sengen Park and were rewarded with this great view, unfortunately without snow on the top during the summer months.
The best months to capture the Fuji are spring and autumn, as summer is the rainy season and usually the weather is very cloudy, so it's not possible to see the Fuji from the top.
Come as early as possible during the spring and autumn seasons to get a good space behind the pagoda. Around 40 minutes before sunrise, you will meet around 30-40 people. A lot of them disregard the rules and laws at this spot, using their tripods and making no space for others. Go into a kind conversation with those people to get your shot. It is all about communication here.
