Japan Mt. Minamidake peak view, Aso-Kuju National Park
Aso-Kuju National Park, located in central Kyushu, Japan, is home to some of the country’s most dramatic volcanic landscapes. The park features Mount Aso, one of the world’s largest active calderas, and the Kuju Mountain Range, known for its scenic hiking trails and hot springs. Visitors can explore grassy plateaus, steaming vents, and lush forests, making it a paradise for nature lovers. Throughout the year, the park offers vibrant seasonal views, from cherry blossoms in spring to fiery foliage in autumn.
Photography Tips
Use some unsharp foreground for more dynamic and always keep an eye on the volcanic activity. The size of the gas cloud changes every minute. For a more interesting picture it is important that there is a bit more smoke.
