Japan Ishin-no-michi street, Masuyacho
Next to the over-crowded Yasaka Pagoda or Ninenzaka is the Shin-no-michi street, where you can park your car or bicycle. From here you have a nice overview to the pagoda , the torii gate and the city without any other people.
Photography Tips
If you want to get this picture you need to go in the shoulders of an other person. The higher you go with the camera, the better the view of the pagoda.
Travel Information
The easiest way to move around in Kyoto is to rent a bicycle here. For around 20 Euro per day you are so flexible and can be spontaneous everywhere. For us it was the perfect match and is the most common thing for locals.
Just next to the spot are parking lots for bicycles.
