Kenya Abandoned Amboseli Lodge, Amboseli National Park
The abandoned Amboseli Lodge, located near the swamps of Amboseli National Park in Kenya, was tourist destination that closed in the early 2000s due to severe flooding.
From now on its home for the Vervet Monkeys. Especially here you can see them ask year around in huge families together. It is a good hiding place from enemies, provides shade, and is close to an existing lodge where monkeys can quickly become thieves.

Photography Tips
Always have your tele-zoom lens ready with a higher shutter for moving animals. With long focal lengths, the aperture may also increase at the maximum focal length, depending on the lens. Therefore, I would check the native ISO for the camera beforehand. Often there are two. Use the higher ISO for more artificial brightness so that you can set the shutter faster. The loss of quality should be minimal.
Always take an eye on the monkeys. Sometimes they steal personal things.

Travel Information
To enter the park you need to pass the gate. There are two - one in the south and one in the north of the park. The South Gate is closer to wildlife. Make sure your lodge is close by. Self drives are allowed but you should have at least a good 4x4 car. I would prefer a guided tour here. Ask your driver about the abandoned lodge, if you want to see the monkeys.
