Kenya Obervation Hill Parking, Amboseli National Park

The Hill Parking slot is the only chance to go out of the car in the park. The close by Noomotio Observation Point in Amboseli National Park is a popular viewpoint that offers sweeping panoramic views of the park’s vast plains, wetlands, and surrounding hills. It is the only area where you can leave the car, walk up the hill and have a picnic.

From the hill parking and the elevated spot you can observe wildlife movements and enjoy clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

1 photo: If you want to have a nice car shot with yourself on top of the car this spot is your best friend. Just make sure the position of the car is in the right way with the savannah in the background. Come a bit earlier than normal lunch time to avoid the crowds.

The Hill parking and observation point is well known by all the drivers. Here you can find restrooms and a place for breakfast or lunch.

To enter the park you need to pass the gate. There are two - one in the south and one in the north of the park. The South Gate is closer to wildlife. Make sure your lodge is close by. Self drives are allowed but you should have at least a good 4x4 car. I would prefer a guided tour here.
