Lao Pak Ou Caves

Some of the most extraordinary caves in Laos are the Pak Ou Caves. They are located about 25 kilometres from Luang Prabang, where the Nam Ou and Mekong rivers meet. Pak Ou consists of two caves in a steep rock. It is not so much the Pak Ou Caves themselves that are so impressive, but the over 5000 Buddha images that are found in the niches and caverns.
