The viaduct in Luxembourg crosses the Pétrusse Valley and connects the station district with the upper town.

It is also called Passerelle or Old Bridge and was built between 1859 and 1861. The bridge crosses the Pétrusse Valley at a height of 45 m and consists of 24 arches with 8—and 15-meter spans. The bridge pillars are up to 30 m high, and the total length of the bridge is around 290 m. The best view of the viaduct is from the marked location.

Photography Tips

Come here on an early morning in the autumn season. The light and colors are outstanding, and the city is also quite empty when roaming around, which is a great feeling!

Travel Information

Public transport in Luxembourg is free of charge! But if you visit by car, I can recommend the marked parking lot, free of charge in the late evening and early morning but also relatively cheap during the day!
