Mexico The Pink Lagoon

The sea is so pink because red plankton and brine shrimp live in it. The chemicals of these animals cause the water to turn pink. The city of Las Coloradas used to be a salt mining town and that also explains the unusual landscape with salt flats. While here, you can also take a tour of the salt factory.
