So beautiful dear Marcelo. I just changed "Baja California" to "Baja California Sur" because that seems to be correct, isn't it? I've never been in Mexico but I just saw that these regions are actually different.

Both ways are correct. Perhaps it's easier to find your way as you suggest. It's a very touristy area. There are many tourists from the USA, I think because they aren't very welcome in many parts of the world (no comment). It's also a safe area to travel back to the USA, avoiding the Sinaloa region in northern Mexico where there is a lot of drug-related violence.

Thank you for the feedback. I googled it and that said that "Baja California" is the northern part and "Baja California Sur" the southern part. Is that correct? Because then I would leave the "Sur". Looks like a beautiful region!

Daniel, you're absolutely right (I did my own research too). The long, narrow peninsula is called Baja California. It's divided into two distinct regions by a horizontal line running through the middle. The region we're interested in is located at the southern tip, in "Baja California Sur."
