Montenegro Mausoleum of Petar II Petrovic-Njegos, Lovcen NP

  • Please log in or sign up for free to see the GPS coordinates & weather for this photo spot
The Mausoleum of Petar II Petrovic is one of the highest tombs in the world and offers stunning views over the surrounding mountains, e.g. Mount Lovcen. If lucky, you can even see down to the bay of Kotor.

Photography Tips

If you are together with someone, use 1) the way to the circle as a leading line for the eye and 2) the person as another focal point from which the eye is led to the mountains. Let the frame breathe.

Travel Information

Parking is available, but it is limited - it goes all the way up the roundabout. If this is full, people tend to park close to the road. And, be careful to take money with you. You need to pay an entrance fee to the tomb and there are ever-changing opening hours. Take into consideration that you need to walk up 461 steps to reach the tomb.
