Construction of The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, in Podgorica, is relatively new; it was consecrated in 2013. The architecture is impressive insofar as it is reminiscent of so many much older Orthodox religious buildings but bigger, embellished with items such as a depiction of Jonah and a whale. Arguably, even more spectacular is the interior with is byzantine-like gold background adorned with iconographic depictions of the great and the good of the religion.

Take a tripod if you have one with you. When there is no special religious activity or crowds, they seem to be tolerated.

Trying to capture the power of this space needs a superwide or an ultrawide lens.

There is plenty of parking in the area, mostly unmanaged.
