Morocco Erg Chigaga
The raw beauty of the desert in sunset and at night is so worth the effort of getting here. The largest sand dune in the Sahara - certainly on the Moroccan side and perhaps the whole Sahara. The density of the Stars is like nothing I have seen before.
Photography Tips
Sneak a tripod in if you can to enable capturing the magic of the night sky. i neglected to and regret it.
Travel Information
It was a long drive into the desert (virtually over a day) from the High Atlas mountains. Even from Marrakech is 9hours or so and a fair bit of off road track. Obviously best organised with a tour guide.
