Myanmar The Sulamani, Old Bagan
The temple dates from the late 1100s and is thought to have been among the last built during a building boom at that time. Like so many of the others, it has had to be extensively restored over the year. In this case, the whole top has to be replaced after an earthquake in 1975. Up close, a lot of the ceramics and interior wall paintings/frescos appear old and obviously very different from those of Europe.
Its one of the most visited in the area and the main entrance is through an alley of stalls selling tourist tat.
