The Shwedagon Pagoda is a wonder of the world for connoisseurs of Asian dream places. During my visit (several times within 2 weeks) I noticed that Shwedagon is a real place of empowerment.

Photography Tips

As many pilgrims are praying, it is only decent to be discreet when taking photographs and not to take direct pictures of the people or their faces.
From a photographic point of view, the evening time is certainly best, i.e. the orange and blue hour.

Travel Information

Take a taxi there and then stay as long as possible. There are enough taxis for the return journey to the hotel.
