This gorgeous golden pagoda field is an absolute MUST for a visit. It can be perfectly combined with the "obligatory" tour to Inle Lake. Without criticizing, our guide explained everywhere the stupas are "covered" with gold leaf. In my opinion, this is not true, the pagodas are painted with a golden colors. Nevertheless, these stupas in the landscape shine so fantastically and make Myanmar / Burma a fantastic destination.
