Namibia Dune 7

Dune 7 is a famous tall dune close to Walvis Bay, Some people say it's the highest in Namibia (I actually don't think it is), but this is one of the best dune experiences you can have if you are not going further south.

Photography Tips

Take a sealable plastic bag to put your camera in before you climb, you will get sand everywhere, and just a rucksack is not enough! Also, the sand gets very hot so doing this climb early in the morning is much more pleasant.

Travel Information

10 mins from Walvis Bay, big car park right at the bottom of the dune, easy! Climbing the dune.. not so easy! Very steep, and will take you anywhere from 25 - 50 mins depending on your fitness. So worth it though!
