Chartisaub ist eine Quelle, die am Rand der Etosha-Pfanne liegt. Man kann hier regelmäßig am Nachmittag einen großen Elefantenbullen treffen. Oft steht er im Schatten des Baumes.

Dieser Baum ist, wenn nicht gerade mal wieder von elefanten zerpflückt wurde, ein guter Vordergrund vor einem dramatischen Himmel.

Travel Information

Es führt eine kurze Stickstraße zu Chartisaub. Das erste, wes Sie sehen werden, ist der Baum, der nordöstlich der Quelle steht. Die Quelle selbst fürht nur in der Regenzeit offenes Wasser. Sie werden die Wasserfläche erst sehen können, wenn Sie an dem Baum vorbei auf den kleinen Hügel fahren.
Achtung! Die kurze Zufahrt zu dem Hügel hat es in sich. Es haben sich diverse Fahrzeuge in der Regenzeit auf dem Anstieg und oben auf dem Plateau festgefahren, so dass die Straße nach dem Baum eigentlich nur noch aus tiefen Löchern besteht. Mit einem Golf oder einem Camper können Sie hier Probleme bekommen - besonders wenn der Boden nass ist!
