Big Daddy, rarely also Crazy Dune, is a star dune west of Sossusvlei on the edge of Deadvlei in the central Namib Desert of Namibia. It is considered the highest dune in the area and one of the highest in the world. Big Daddy is said to reach a height of 325 m to 380 m. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Namib Sand Sea".

The entrance fee for Namib-Naukluft National Park is around NAD 100 per person per day for international visitors, and an additional vehicle fee may apply. A 4WD vehicle is highly recommended for visiting Big Daddy Dunes, especially for the last 5 kilometers after reaching the 2x4 parking area. From here, you can walk or use a shuttle service to get to the base of the dunes. Driving a 4WD ensures you can navigate the deep sand safely and enjoy a more flexible schedule.
