Kinderdijk is a small village at a distance of only 16 kilometers of Rotterdam and a little bit less than 10 kilometers from the cityborder of the oldest city in Holland, Dordrecht.
Never the less is the village unique for it 19 windmills dating from the 1500s.

Photography Tips

During the daytime, there are a lot of buses stopping with tourists. During that time there are a lot of people. From the moment the sun goes under, everyone leaves and only the photographers remain.
The pad is paved so no need for special boots or hiking shoes.

Best is to come to the location about 2 hours before sunset. You can park along the street.
