A short (400m) walk on the side of the road to Milford Sound. If there is no wind, you can get glass like reflections off the surface of the lake.

Photography Tips

Get there early as the wind will ruin the reflections and the tour buses will bring the masses.

Travel Information

Its about 45 minutes drive from Te Anau on the road to Milford Sound and offers a great chance to stretch the legs. Plenty of parking.
Try and get on the road before the tour buses to avoid the crowds. Leaving Te Anau by 7:30 am should give you some quite time on the road.
