Take a Tripod with you for Long exposures, so you can get rid of all the People, or stay till sunset. Most of the people leave then.

Hi Till, nice shot. When was this taken ? Plan to go to auckland this winter time (June-July) and thinking of visiting this place. Was this shot at night or is it a composite picture (the milky way). thanks

Hey Dino, thanks very much! The Shot was taken by night, between 3am and 4am. It was the perfect time, cause the milky way was exactly there in the sky. I planned it the evening before with the Photopills app (I planned a lot with that app, stars, Milkyway, Sunsets and sunrises etc.). So i know the besttime and best place when i arrived at night. But i can absolutly recommend that place! Directly behind that spot are nice Rock Formations in the water for good longtimeexoisures (I have taken some, but doesn´t have the time yet to edit them) and also the Sunrises there a magical. I stayed the hole night at the beach, took the Nightsky and later the sunrise. Really beautiful!
