The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a 19.4km point to point hike. So keep your equipment small and always take a rain jacket with you!

Travel Information

You can book a lot of tours for the hike. I prefered the Discovery Lodge tour, cause it is the earliest tour for the crossing. The chance is very high that you reach the Top right befor all the other tourists to take photos without a lot of retouching later.
