Best shot with 24-105mm or 24-70mm range. 16-35mm is good also, but at the long range. Area is on high ground and could be windy at times.

There's a parking space at the lookout. Drive along State Highway 4 (SH4). From north, it is about 1.8km from the little town of Piriaka, in the Manawatu-Wanganui region. 282km from Auckland International Airport.
