New Zealand Aoraki/Mount Cook from the air
A scenic helicopter flight is a pretty special experience if the weathers right. This one left from Glentanner, which is about 10-15 minutes from Mt Cook Village.
Highly recommend the 30 or 40 minute flights. The 20 minute one does not go towards Mount Cook. The 30 minute flight flies over Lake Tasman, the Tasman Glacier and the goes over the Hooker Lake as well. The weather was just starting to close in on our flight so we missed seeing the top of Aoraki, but you would be really close to it.

Photography Tips
You will get reflections of the windows. A overcast day will help keep these down and after that it is a matter of timing and angles. The front seat also helps.
