New Zealand Sandfly Bay Lookout
This is an awesome view over a beach in the Otago peninsula, named Sandfly Bay. This spot has the perfect view for sunrise, boasting a view that blocks the harshness of the sun but lets some light pour-over.
Photography Tips
Wait for a decent high cloud coverage, and be sure to get up for sunrise. This area can be extremely windy so be sure to pack a sturdy tripod and some warm clothes. I would also recommend waiting for a little bit after sunrise to see the sun peak over the hill.
Travel Information
Parking is available at the start of the Sandfly Bay walk. From there it is only 2 mins to the photo spot. This photo was taken before reaching the Sandfly Bay lookout.
