You can photograph the glacier very close up with a telephoto lens or, like me, use a 24-70mm lens to capture the surrounding area.

Travel Information

park at the official parking lot free of charge from Tasman Glacier. Continue on the path to the left towards Ball Hut. And not to the official lookout point. After about an hour you will find a small path on the right side on the edge of the lake to this lookout point.
