New Zealand Milky Way Glow Worm Cave near Waipu
The Milky Way Glow Worm Cave near Waipu is not to be confused with the normal caves of Waipu, which are only about 2-3 kilometers away.
Especially this cave is phenomenal to see the glow worms in its full light. The high amount of insects next to each other is intense. It's a natural beauty that you should not miss during your trip.

Photography Tips
Bring your tripod with you and use the "bulb" mode as your longtime exposure is definitely longer than 30 sec, if you don't use other lights in the cave. So make sure how to use it with your camera before.
Travel Information
In some cave photography is prohibited, but not in this one. The owner is super friendly and always interested in people how want to do some pictures.
You could book a tour or just write him an e-mail over their homepage for special requests. I´ve stayed more than three hours in the cave after the tours.
Bring a headlamp and a warm jacket with you.
