New Zealand Mount Aspiring valley behind Aspiring Hut

The Aspiring National Park valley is a hiking paradise for different levels of fitness. The huge orange gras, the blue clear river and the surrounding mountains are reminiscent of an idyllic Lord of the Rings scenario.

Try to find some ponds next to the trail for a cool reflection. Place your camera as low as possible for the best result.

Start your hiking at the Rasperry Flat Carpark. The around 10km to the Aspiring Hut are pretty easy. From here you follow the river and hiking deeper into the valley for around 4km. All trails until here are well developed. Also the meters of altitude are just around 350 in total, until you reach the end of the valley.

It's always worth it to take some breaks in the shadow or near the river and just enjoy this great valley view.
